This is intriguing. I have read Randall Helms's excellent 'Who Wrote the Gospels' in which he proposes that the language of 'Luke" especially the passages written about the 'birth announcement' are very feminine, such that 'Luke' might have had a female authorship. But his belief is that the 'most loved disciple' was a literary device to make the gospel sound as if it was written shortly after Jesus's death and not several decades up to a century later.
