The bad ass evil sleeping "god" of the Lovecraft books. Someone back me up here, aren't his books the origin of the Necronomicon?
His stories are very good, and sometimes very disturbing. Some people actually believe that he was writing about real things and people, and that the Necronomicon, Cthulu etc. really exist.
