To Create and Destroy
One hand birthing
The other annihilates
Are we the hand of God
All three of the fates
With fire, water, earth and air
We make and unmake, both ugly and fair
Spinning a web of weight through time
So awesome, delicate yet terrible
Dancing with no reason nor rhyme
They must love us; hate us so
To give us this task
And in our genius and ignorance
Our successes we crow
Our failures we mask
In the end, if there is such
Will we destroy ourselves
Or like the gods, make by touch
Ever is the movement, flow and dance
Of those that can make or take us by chance
Dedicated to Earth Day
