The problem is as we loose farmers, only slightly (I mean a hundreth of a penny) cheaper fruits and vegatables suddenly flood the market from South America, and at the same time, those fruits are offered at much greater prices to Africa.
Loss of American agriculture will mean an overcommercialization of unused land. Think about it, you may have driven for a while away from a large city, can you imagine getting rid of all that open space?
