Honestly, I think it would be a good idea to move on. She is 17 and has a lot of decisions to make in her life in terms of direction. If you enter the picture, the decisions she make may not be for her sake but for your relationship's sake. Being a father myself, I would have great difficulty with my daughter dating someone that I consider to be an adult and she would still be a child in my book, regardless of the law. Don't mess with the Dad. Let her grow up a little more and make smart decisions not "I'm in love and I'll do anything for him" decisions. If you were meant to be, God will put you together again. Promise. Good luck in making wise decisions.
