Matt’s Poem
He walked into the room
And I knew that my life wouldn’t be the same.
I’d take one look into his eyes,
And see this peace.
Peace like no other.
He didn’t look like anyone I knew.
With his shaved head and the fish-net loves.
His black shorts and beaten up combat boots.
But his eye and attitude drew me.
His eyes were kind and they made you feel like,
They saw down to your soul.
Clear and cheerful, always ready with a smile.
His attitude was that of someone that is comfortable with themselves,
But also courteous. You speak, he listens and pays attention.
But not only that, he’s sweet and believes in the best,
And wishes the best for you.
Yes, when he walked into the room,
I knew my life would change.
I hope I could one day be like him.
Based on my first impression of Matt Adams, and as I got to know him.
