Some more of my poems, hope you like them.
A Moment in Time
In a moment in time, We give ourselves to people. Whether we know it or not. A withered old woman, Young at one time. Gave herself to her one and truly. A newly married couple, Gave themselves to each other, For eternity, or divorce whichever comes first. A teen-aged couple, So full of life. Give to each other, and think of eternity. A young girl, not yet hit puberty, Gave herself to the most popular boy. But only in her mind. In an instant we give. To who? No one knows. If you don’t in that moment. It’ll be a moment to regret. Realizing Love
As I sit here thinking of him, My heart starts to race. Like I had just finished running a race. My mind races in hyper-drive. I picture him in my mind, And I swear I hear music. Hearing music is kind of scary, Music can only mean one thing… I must love him. Love him like no other. Dated: December 23, 2001 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:42 PM.. |

He and I
His eyes were like melted chocolate. His smile can light up a room. His personality is like no other. His laughter brings smiles to others. I think of him and I think … How lucky I must be. To have someone, such as he, To want to be with someone like me. When he speaks, everyone listens. When I speak, no one listens. He is like a shaft of light. Where as I am but a shadow. The Storm
A storm rages outside, But we don’t acknowledge it. We are inside. Cuddled up together. The storm ravages everything, In it’s path. Like a wild animal that is hungry. Feasting on a delectable morsel. But still, inside it is quiet, Holding each other, nothing else matters. The storm grows and destroys. Our love grows and creates. Just Us
He walks into the room, And my eyes are drawn to him. Brown eyes clash with blue. The attraction is there, blazing. We walk toward each other, Meeting in the middle. Everything seems to fade. Noise dissipates into a low hum. All we see is each other. People disappear. All there is, is us. In a crowded, noisy party. The Party
The music thumps, Our hearts beat in rhythm. People surge, dancing without cares, And we are dancing. Dancing with others, But thinking of each other. Brown eyes clash with blue, We dance for each other. But suddenly, the music stops, And the party is over. Everyone goes home. We just stand there. Looking at each other, Wishing for this night not to end. Dated: January 1, 2002 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:45 PM.. |

Her Thoughts
As I look at him from across the room, My heart starts to thump. I duck my head when he looks at me. Afraid of what he would see. He must think I don’t like him, When it’s just the opposite. I like him too much. Too much for him to know. I would just die, If he were to find out. My heart would crumble, If he didn’t like me. So he must never know, Who I am and how I feel. His Thoughts
He looks over to her and thinks, “Oh, no. There she goes again.” All he wishes is to have her look. Look at him in the eye. He also wishes to know… What color her eyes are. In his dreams, he looks… Into pools of darkness. If he could know.. Two things about her. They would be her name, And the color of her eyes. So he would be able to have, A name to go with her face. Matt’s Poem
He walked into the room And I knew that my life wouldn’t be the same. I’d take one look into his eyes, And see this peace. Peace like no other. He didn’t look like anyone I knew. With his shaved head and the fish-net loves. His black shorts and beaten up combat boots. But his eye and attitude drew me. His eyes were kind and they made you feel like, They saw down to your soul. Clear and cheerful, always ready with a smile. His attitude was that of someone that is comfortable with themselves, But also courteous. You speak, he listens and pays attention. But not only that, he’s sweet and believes in the best, And wishes the best for you. Yes, when he walked into the room, I knew my life would change. I hope I could one day be like him. Based on my first impression of Matt Adams, and as I got to know him. Dated: May 13, 2002 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:47 PM.. |

Untitled
Here I sit, among many, but feeling alone. What do I do about that? I do not know. I feel this way a lot. Why? Because I am alone. I have no friends, but I know people. Do they accept me? I have no clue. I am like a book. Most judge the cover, but few look between the pages. If more looked, then maybe I would not be alone. But will they? No, this world is full of books, but few look inside theses books. Maybe the world would be peaceful, if we just look past the cover. But do we? No, we just judge by the outward appearance, few look inside the book. I am one of those people. What have I seen? I have seen what lies beneath those covers. The feelings, the way that book is made, and sometimes the ending. The ending? Yes, the ending. Whether a person will live happily or sadly, with someone, or without. Do I know the true ending? No, but I can guess it. Dated: January 31, 2001 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:47 PM.. |

Trusting People
In this day and age, no one can be sure on who to trust and who not to. But, sometimes in a person’s life, they will have to trust someone they believe they could not. And there will be times when they find that they trusted the wrong person. And often times, they find out a little too late. There are people who trust too much and there are the ones who don’t trust enough. People can fit either or not, but I can’t see how people can’t fit either category. If they didn’t, then they would be very lonely people indeed. So, in this day and age, who can you trust and who not to? Dated: January 20, 1998 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:48 PM.. |

Lessons
In my life, I have known no one, but I have friends. I have love, but not eternal love. My greatest regrets would be not living, aloud like many, but my greatest accomplishments will be for NOT living aloud I have been in love, but not in reality. Fantasies are the lonely girl’s best friend, but can also be her enemy. So, have friends, but know no one. Love, but not for eternity. Live aloud, but don’t. Fantasize, but also be realistic as well. A few lessons in life to appreciate. From an inexperienced teenager too cynical for words. Dated: May 10, 1999 Last edited by TanteMegs; 08-10-2003 at 07:49 PM.. |
