I haven't seen the movie yet but I loved the graphic novel.
Sadly it sounds like they went more for the adventure aspect then the dark feeling of the novel.
They also brought in characters who are suggested to have been in previous leagues (Dorian Gray, Tom Sawyer).
And since Connery is the major star (and I guess he fought with the director and did the final cut) Quartermain becomes the founder and organizer.
In the novel he is an opium addict and it is the woman who was attacked by Dracula who pulled the League together.
I am still going to see it but someday I hope to see a movie where they don't hopelessly screw up the book it is based on.
