I once did a CO to MI move with a big Uhaul. No complaints about the truck or the price.
rs8001 has just about covered it all. I would emphasize importance of truck size. Once you decide how much truck you need, get the next size up. Sucks to have to arrange shipping for stuff that wouldn't fit.
Oh, and make sure the air conditioning works.
