You are, of course, correct.
But I think what we meant by using those phrases above is that we've seen women, more often then not, outright lie about these things. Remember Chris Webber? And wasn't Puckett vindicated to a degree? Still, you are correct, we could be piling on a victim.
With no facts available, most everyone is speculating. Speculation should be kept in check. Thats why, when I posted earlier, I used the words "speculate" and "predictions."
I can't see Kobe doing this. Cheating, maybe. But going to these lengths, no.

I agree with what you're saying gov135, gold-diggers have made it nearly impossible for an honest victim to get justice. I respect the fact that you appear to have a clear head about even the most serious discussions. You avoid the name-calling and I always welcome that.
I have no problem with people's opinions--and I hope Kobe is vindicated at the end of this--I am just amazed at the knee-jerk reaction to put labels on this woman before fact 1 came out.
I believe Puckett was found not guilty of the official charges, but his wife and long time girlfriend came out and said that they had been abused by him. Criminally--he's off the hook, but the public perception of him and the private demons he battled were completely different. I certainly hope Kobe is a different story.
