Of course not, our laws don't come directly from the Bible, unlike most Islamic countries' laws, which, if I'm correct, are directly taken from the Koran. Our country's constitution requires quite the opposite in the sense that no law will be made in respect to an establishment of religion, from the first amendment: the guarantee of freedom of religion. Where as in Islamic countries, they have no such guarantee of freedom of religion, at least from what I understand.
In all essence, demanding an apology for an insult to Christianity would be quite un-American.
Regardless, passing around a pamphlet such as the one in the article is no better than going door to door and stuffing neo-nazi literature into the mailbox, even worse when it's done by a legislator to his fellow members of the legislature. Very careless and insensitively childish.
