I have a hard time saying which is my favorite deftones album. Around the fur is the shit, and adrenaline is just balls to the wall antics. White pony they took a much different approach. much more mellow yet still could make a prison inmate nod his head and strike a lighter. Passenger is the shit by the way. whoever told them to put maynard on a deftones song is a fucking genious. the new one however. i must say i'm dissapointed. Usually i have no problem just kicking back, inserting the cd and letting it go. i couldn't do it. i don't know what's up with the 'Tones. I love minerva, but find it impossible to listen to the rest. Somewhere along the line chino lost his sense of melody and timing. his vocals don't match the rythm of the songs. and all the lyrics are way too high pictched to enjoy(even with the treble down). they went from a metal/pimprock band to a hardcoreish band. i'm not a fan of hardcore. it's probibly just one of those things i need to grow into. this cd i mean. which is sad to say for a deftones cd.
