In Colorado, you can get your permit at 15 with the drivers education course. 15.5 is the limit if you don't take the course. From the time you get your permit until you turn 16, you have to rack up 60 documented driving hours. Unfortunately, most parents (at least around here) will sign off dozens of hours just to get kids out of their hair.

I'm sure there are restrictions regarding the age of passengers and hours, but in my small town no one paid attention...

As far as the original post goes, I think you're SOL. Just go along with the system, I guess.
