Although I love Menshealth, upon closer analysis, I think many of their articles tend towards gross overgeneralizations.
Yes, I think marriage = better life.
Financial cushion, about $40,000 higher in earnings than unmarried counterparts, longer life span, shared experiences, etc. I also think having a spouse forces people to get off their asses and provide, rather than become a reclusive bum (as I sometimes am when I'm single).
Not married yet, but I do believe in the benefits of the institution. I'll add more later, as I should be doing Property Law problems instead of talking marriage. (I love family law).
