1. Find some other job to be transferred to at the company yourself
2. Find something else while dealing with what ever happens at your current company.
And, I would also suggest a finance book to learn how to save at least 2 years living expenses after working for 10 years. It gives you freedom to find something else without worrying about what happens at your current job. Add in whatever unemployment benefits exist in the UK, and you would be in a different situation.
