Hmmm.. characters I'm attracted to played by actresses I'm not...
Sarah 'Mac' MacKenzie! I'm totally attracted to Lt. Col. Sarah MacKenzie on JAG; strong, intelligent, sexy, but still fragile. Catherine Bell herself, though, doesn't really do it for me. I've seen her in Army Wives and Bruce Almighty and... well, nothing. And I've seen her interviewed and she's not only vanilla, but she's clearly a Scientologist. I knew even before Googling it.
Back in 2002, a movie came out called Secretary. In it Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Lee Holloway, one of the most charming subs ever portrayed in film, and a totally sexy character. I'm not normally attracted to Maggie Gyllenhaal, but in this, it was amazing. It remains one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen.
Emmy Rossum is an example of the opposite. She was bland as hell in Day After Tomorrow, bland as hell in Phantom, she was terrible in Dragonball and she looks sticky and smelly in Shameless. IRL, she seems really smart and very nice, really talented. And really, really hot.
