Pirates of the Caribbeans - Should've stopped at the third one. No need for a fourth one. That whole drunken oaf thing is getting old.
Wolverine - Complete garbage.
Shrek - I stopped when he has babies. That's a good enough ending for me.

I agree with most of this (except Harry Potter, the movies aren't the best but I like them anyway).
The biggest problem I have with sequels is most of the time they taint a perfectly good original story. Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers are perfect examples of these. To me, they were both mindless, fun, summertime entertainment - and now are being milked for every single cent that the studios can possibly squeeze out of them and it just pisses me off. Another Scream coming out this summer...good original with lame followups.
My son loves sequels and is just psyched for this summer. There is some Shrek spinoff with just the cat coming out soon and I wanted to vomit when I saw the preview for it, and Cars and Kung Fu Panda are both coming out with sequels this summer. Is there no originality left in Hollywood?
