There are many gaming websites, gambling, etc... That offer points, coins, tokens, whatever it may be on that particular site, in exchange for signing up for things on the internet. So someone has a CC#, are not interested in the product itself, only the outcome of getting the credits on the website, you get the item, and get to pay for it, and they get the points. Fun huh.

Beat me to it. Most of the "Free I-Pad/laptop/oakley sunglasses" sites require you to sign up for continuities. You might actually be able to find out who did this by contacting the companies, as they had to send a confirmation back to the company offering the deal, so there might be a trail of confirmations/account numbers that can lead you to the home address or contact info of whoever go the free Ipad.
