Let's get something straight right off the bat: if it is your computer it is not illegal.
If you own the computer, then you are free to monitor it's usage. If it is your girlfriend's computer, then you are breaking several laws, both state and federal.
As far as your suspicions, you need to rock up and ask her flat out. Stop being a pussy and trying to figure it out. If she's cheating on you, she'll lie about it if she chooses. It's up to you to believe her or move on your accusations and suspicions. And if I were her and I was being accused of something I wasn't doing and still taking the heat for it, I may as well do it.
