Strange, they could have pulled a weapon on you. Maybe people in the UK aren't worried about getting capped when they see people engaging in violent behavior, but here in 'Murica I'd be pretty scared.
The smart thing to do when you see people being violent is get the fuck out of there. In the very least, if you must watch, stand a good distance away with a nice pair of binoculars.
They might be packing Uzi's, you don't know.
