Miscorrection is a word, according to the
OED. However,
miscorrected doesn't appear. This means that the
OED recognizes it as a noun, but not a verb. So you would be safer to recast the phrase as:
It really confused me when the MOM came back with the miscorrection of "casted" replacing "cast."
Miscorrection is also a mass noun, so no pluralization is required.
