I was a long-haired freak guitar player in high school, and I keep getting tons of Facebook friend requests from assholes that wouldn't have spit on me if I were on fire back then.
I'm keeping their tradition going by ignoring them back.
It's difficult now that Grancey and I are back living in the same town we grew up in, because we keep seeing people in stores that we went to school with and we don't want to run into them anymore. It's not that we're snobs - it's that we can't figure out for the life of us why these people are suddenly acting like they were our best friends in high school and they want to pick up where they left off. I have to frequently say things like, "There's James!" and we both have to duck down a different shopping aisle to avoid getting trapped by an asshole from high school for the next 45 minutes.
It's like we're playing "Shopping in Witness Protection."
