I've had two indoor trainers over the years and would definitely recommend the CycleOps Fluid Pro. If your use to riding outdoors this will give you the best real -world resistance without breaking the bank. My first trainer was a Kurt Kinetic model and I did like it but it was magnetic and I quick grew bored with the feel of the ride.
Couple of points
-you need something to motivate you to ride indoors, music, movies something to distract as you get bored quick or at least I do. I use my laptop beside me to watch movies for longer indoor rides.
-a nice fan to keep the air moving around you and help keep you cool.
-depending on where your putting the trainer you'll need a mat to either calm vibrations if your on a wood floor and to collect all the sweat that is going to drip off you.
-the trainer can be hard on your rear tire so make sure your not on really nice carpet as you'll get little bits of rubber coming off over time. Make sure to check for wear before you ride outdoors if you've been on the trainer all winter...etc.
I dread riding the trainer but when an outdoor ride is not possible there is nothing better to burn off some energy and keep the legs fresh.
