Alright. That makes sense (the hotlinking - video embedding comparison, constant updating, etc..)
As of right now, I still rely on the original tag embedding thread that you and Halx set up a couple of years ago, and as far as I know, every site there (ranging from metacafe, revver, youtube, and googlevideo) still work properly when placed inside their respective tagging functions.
Besides those few sites, the only two other sites that I think I know still work, and show within any given thread, are youku (some Chinese video hoster) and pornhub (I only saw the box though, never bothered to click and see if the video played correctly in TFP).
I guess what I wanted to know is could there be an update to the way the forum's vbulletin displays and handles video-hosting websites' embeddable features, and we can choose just a handful more to also be given the [tag] treatment?
I do know this may not be an overnight process to be remedied with a flick of a moderator's knob, but I do want to be able to rely on alternative trusted resources other than having to find a youtube version of the video that may or not be there.
Last little question: do either ebaumsworld or break.com videos embed here? I thought I saw one or two posted by Halx a long while ago, but I have had little luck managing them on my own.
