As most of the sites are changing from static and predictably paths to something more SEO friendly, it's gotten harder and harder to keep up.

There are about 250 original sites that embed with the mod I installed. This has whittled down to a more reasonable number based on our community and discussion requirements. The rest of these are under constant assault because well, think of how images before were protected from hotlinking, the sources are doing the same for video.

I haven't checked in some time, but the problem with it is just like the vimeo site, things just change and you cannot predict or control what happens. But just like rexed images, one can go back and edit the post and alter the link to not use the auto media embed feature and it will just be a direct link.
