Bob & his wife Marge had just lost their dog. Having had one for 17 years & thinking they were a little old to get another they settled on a bird.

So to surprise her husband, the wife goes to a pet store & the shop owner shows her a beautiful macaw. Telling her that the bird's name is Salty, explained that it's language is the same.

She tells him that it might amuse her husband's poker buddies on Wednesdays & today they're coming over, buys the bird.

The proprietor further explains that the bird is from a house of a different color that recently "closed" & she pays no mind, all of her hubbies pals came from the same Army unit & served together in very "diverse" areas.

Well, she has all the snacks laid out, ice in the bucket, glasses on the table, 2 fresh decks of cards & the bird sitting there with a smug look on it's face.

The boys show up all at once & hubby with them when he says hi to his loving wife...

the birds blurts out, "Hi ya boys, & nice to see you so soon, Bob!"
