well leveling isn't the point of the game...hence why you were bored. Leveling is just something you do so you can farm enough gold for your city and for pvp.
If you don't think 50 on 50 battles are fun then SB is not the game for you. If you want to level and be ubbr, L33T!, and strive to be in the best armor plats and real money can buy, I suggest waiting for EQ2.
In SB I am never bored. There is always something to do, but then I belong to one of the larger nations that are at war with another 2 large nations. I always have pvp or gold farming to do.
