8 Things You Love About the TFP
In honour of the 8th Anniversary of the TFP, tell me:
8 things you love about the TFP!
Here's my list:
1) Definitely the people, I can say I’ve met many great people on TFP
2) The generally civilized demeanour of the forum
3) It’s one of the very few places online where I can actually discuss serious issues and expect a serious, well-thought out response
4) I have learned a lot about people on the TFP, the abundance of threads on peoples’ personal lives make it so there is always a new situation to ponder, and of course, the great thoughtful responses from the users
5) I have also learned a lot about sex and relationships on the TFP, and I love how for the most part people are very upfront about their experiences
6) I love how the TFP encompasses most topics (or tries to), I think it has something for everyone
7) It took me years before I noticed the blogs (lol) but these days it’s one of my favourite sections, I love reading about the lives of the other users I talk to in the forum, and also to share mine sometimes
8) The TFP is definitely one of my ‘go-to’ places online and whenever I feel I need to find out more about something or just want to feel ‘in good company’, this is where I go.
There is one thing I don’t love...not being able to meet more TFPers in real life!

Whether we write or speak or do but look
We are ever unapparent. What we are
Cannot be transfused into word or book.
Our soul from us is infinitely far.
However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.
Fernando Pessoa, 1918
