WAIT JUST A MINUTE!!!
A day after Urban Meyer shocked the college football world by saying he would resign as head coach at Florida, reports say Meyer has changed his mind.
The latest reports indicate that Meyer is planning to take a leave of absence -- but not quit -- to deal with health problems related to a heart valve defect. Multiple media outlets are reporting that Gators offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will fill in as interim head coach while Meyer is out.
Addazio has been an assistant to Meyer at Florida since Meyer became the Gators' head coach in 2005. The two also worked together on Notre Dame's staff in 1999 and 2000. Addazio is also a former Syracuse assistant who was once considered a strong candidate to get the head-coaching job at Syracuse.
It's not clear exactly how serious Meyer's health problems are or how long he'll be away from coaching. But a day after saying he was done, he might be back coaching the Gators at some point, as long as he's healthy enough.
Wouldn't you think he'd make up his mind before announcing a decision???
