I got in a car accident about 2 years ago and fortunately the only thing that got ruined on my car was my left side rear view mirror. The mirror functions well, except after about a 2 years the plastic is starting to oxidize. It really doesn't look right, it changed from black to almost white. Does anyone know how to keep something from oxidizing, specifically plastic car parts?

Another quick one, it seems the Arizona heat is killing my dashboard, cracks everywhere, well maybe just cracks beginning to appear! Any tips for this as well?
