You know, as soon as I read this it hit me just how accurate that description is. It had been nagging at me every time I see the previews.
I mean, I've been reading the original stories in bits and pieces over the past couple months, but even so the movie doesn't seem to be all that true to the actual stories even taking into account that it is supposedly an entirely original plot.
Looks really cool, though. Would probably be better with Hugh Laurie as Holmes, though that might be too obvious a choice
