Chivalry and feminism aren't synonymous. Chivalry is about courting and protecting women whereas feminism is about fighting for true gender equality. They're not always mutually exclusive, but they generally have different aims.
An act of chivalry would be standing up as a woman leaves the dinner table, but that does nothing at all to support her equality. Confronting your boss because of unequal pay between men and women in your office would be feminism and probably chivalry. Voting for women's suffrage would be feminism but not chivalry.
