Otherwise, it's a brilliant idea. Justice isn't necessarily an easy thing to teach/learn and people need as much help as they can get.

You may sound like a broken record but you can see that the professor has posited the morality in a different space by saying Suppose a terrorist will not reveal the location of a bomb “unless an innocent member of his family is tortured.” So this isn't INFORMATION gathering which is going to fall into the same broken record confrontation, but actually slicing the morality portion to present into the argument.
The point of the discussions isn't to hash out the same arguments but to push and pull the argument into a place were one can actually see where moral and value boundaries exist and how to think critically about them.
