P.S. Google Honda Acccord Transmission Problems...Or Call around a few Transmission Shops, and Honda Dealers, and just say... " I have a 2002 Honda Accord and It is Shifting funny"...See what they say...
Interesting post. I didn't mention American cars once in my post, nor did I mention having any problems with my Honda. I asked a general question regarding a concern I had about the 2002 Honda Accord transmissions.

In regards to your recommendations to call around and do Google searches, I did. I called two transmission shops and the Honda service department. I also made a post here, as I figured it would be yet another means towards gathering opinions and experiences.

To follow-up my original post, and likely close it, I asked the dealer today about the issue and he said there were concerns, but the specific problem referenced would have presented itself by now if it were to be present in the car I was buying. That was my suspicion all along and it was re-assuring to hear it from someone else that already had my money and was no longer obligated to tell me what I wanted to hear as a means for selling a car. The car drives well and I have no complaints or regrets.

If you'd like to debate the issue of American cars versus imports, that's all well and good, but I'm not remotely interested in taking part. I buy the cars I like and I expect others to do the same. This thread was created strictly as a means for gathering information in regards to a concern I had, and given the lack of quality, and number of, responses, I gather it's a moot point in this environment; and that's fine. That's exactly why I pursued multiple sources in the first place.
