I have definitely been there! When sex isn't an option for whatever reason, the best substitute I've found is warming up a glass dildo, the feeling of warmth plus fullness is close enough to the real thing to mostly satisfy. Occassionally I wake up from a sex dream with that overwhelming pulsing feeling, but I usually just cum immediately after waking up without having to do anything, those are nice.
