ice wind dale 2 is fun hack n slash that gets boring FAST. ID2 has the best party building engine i've ever played, but after that it goes down hill.
BG2 has TONS of side quests, an amazing story and lots of NPCS
ID2 = a 7+ on a 1 to 10 scale
BG2 = a 10+
