BTW why not use something like SecureCRT and run your linux box headless? Been using this for years personally, about the only time I ever use the keyboard/monitor hooked to a few of my nix box's is when my main pc is not available.

Thing is, I have no idea how to use my linux box. I know you CAN do that, but I don't know HOW. I know my old roommate use to SSH into the webserver that was in my room from his room, but I don't know how.
