sounds stupid doesnt it?
yet, through the years, i've had each and every one of those statements asked to me by random american people when they have found out that i am from Australia. What im trying to get at here is that stereotypes are typically created when people who know little want to sound like they know a lot.

Jeez.. That's just ridiculous. I have a friend who is australian and he'd have probably whacked me one (well not really but he'd have let me know I was an idiot) if I had asked something like that.
