I haven't read her work before.
We travel little, but enjoy luxury hotels when we do manage to get out. I can't remember encountering the rude, hateful people that she describes at the places we have stayed. Perhaps she is part of her problem? Or maybe I'm not reading people correctly.
GenuineGirly is going to laugh at me here ... maybe it's partly because I'm likely to leave a bag M&M's or a couple of miniature Hershey's along with the tip "to sweeten their day." Along with a nice, short note (to housekeeping).
