Ooooh, it was 1999, the height of the "dot com" boom. My company had done some pretty sophisticated work for an online retailer. They were beyond thrilled with the work. They walked into the office with a stack of 6 gig Nomad Jukeboxes (the predecessor to the iPod...this is the time when 6Gig was more space than most servers had.) Retail price on them was something like $550/each. They passed them out like playing cards to the team. That thing was pretty sweet.
I miss those days. Web developers, we were like frikken rock stars.
