As excited as I am about Caprica, its supposed to be half-BSG backstory-filling-in and half soapy battle between two prominent families, like Dynasty set in space and about the creation of artificial intelligent life or something. On the other hand, this is by the BSG people and it's being run by Jane Espenson, who is nothing if not an amazing writer. I love that serious fans are getting the miniseries-like premier well before the show debuts - an actual good decision from the most ridiculously named network on TV.
