If you aren't doing it too much then masturbating is in fact healthy for you if you aren't getting any. If you do it too much though the exact opposite can be said. If you aren't getting any it helps prevent prostate issues. Doing it excessively can injure you.
The only problem with it is if you make yourself feel guilty. We are sexual beings by nature so don't let it bother you.
