I've gotten regular calls for being "fraud protection" and then one day they just turned off my card. Was a pain in the ass, no fraud, just happened to screw up some Xmas purchases.
A week later I did get another notification and it turned out someone used my card number in Denmark and other european countries. I have to still deal with that.
Credit cards are not a joking matter. Each transaction you are signing is a contract. You may not think that it is and may find it trivial, but it isn't. It is a contract binding just like any other contract.
