Surely, the value depends on what one's goals are. If you are comfortable with watching sports and making them a big part of your life, then that's fine. The concern is that they in themselves are a competition of no real end value aside from being considered the victor of a game. It seems a bit trivial, and I'm one who is an avid sports fan.
