It is because a huge majority of people in this country are superficial. skin color obviously denotes huge differences in culture, temperament, lifestyle, intelligence, wisdom, thinking patterns, and most of all ideas. by choosing people who aren't 'wealthy white men', we've instituted major change in our nation.
