If this is a true sequel to FarCry's gameplay (which was truly amazing), then there should be some sweet opportunities to snipe. The sniping was easily the best part in the original FarCry, as well as the open-endedness.
Halx, I truly recommend you get your hands on a copy of the first game. I've done the same missions 6 times with completely different strategies, weapons, techniques, and routes. You can go commando, with a P90, a M16 (or M4, whichever it was), or you can circle around the village, climb up a steep hill, lie prone on a rock and carefully snipe, and prepare your path from there. That's the essence of the game: you can take vehicles, or walk through the thick jungle, or swim around, or boat around, through entirely different rivers; you're never stuck anywhere. I could've done without the retarded trigens(mutated monsters) but it's quite a challenge either way. Far Cry is a must play, and as soon as I can afford a gaming PC or a console I'm getting Far Cry 2.
