Well my 2.4x attempt is no good. Sometimes it will be recognised by a dvd player, sometimes it won't. If it is recognised then it does play but not for very long. I'm going to get some Verbatims at the weekend (if PC world sells them, otherwise it will be mail order next week).

I tried the Quality scan in Nero (DVDSpeed is now called DiscSpeed) but it would appear the Pioneer drive is not supported for quality scans. Oh well...
