Recipe of the Day - June 6 (french dip)
French Dip Sandwich
Ingredients
Sandwiches
4 sub rolls
1 pound deli roast beef, lean
sliced Swiss cheese (optional)
Au Jus
2 12 oz. cans low fat beef stock
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
4 Tbsp. soy sauce
4 Tbsp. red cooking wine
Preparation
Place all ingredients for au jus in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 25-30 minutes.
While the broth is simmering, preheat oven to 200.
Slice open the rolls, and place roast beef evenly on 4 rolls. Add cheese if desired. Place in oven until the cheese is slightly melted, or the beef is no longer cold.
Pour the broth in dipping bowls and serve with sandwiches.
