Not really sure if this is necessarily true. I started watching Lost with Season 3. Well, more like the season 2 finale. It was a free download off of iTunes one summer, so I watched it, but only after reading episode summaries on wikipedia. Even after reading the summaries I could tell that Lost was a kick-ass show. And now I'm a big fan. Best show on television.

However, I'm not so sure that a new watcher of Lost could jump on in and get hooked now, though the show has tried that with recap episodes and such.

Not to sound too defensive, but it does seem like the show should be judged as a whole when it's over. It's two years away, which is quite frustrating and maddening, in light of all of the questions that need to be answered, but I'm in for the ride.
