And Planned Parenthood will load you up with free condoms.

Basics for heterosexual safe sex:
1) The female in the relationship should be on some kind of hormonal birth control or use an IUD if hormonal birth control is not an option.
2) A barrier method should be used in conjunction with the birth control; a diaphragm for the female is an option, but most choose to have the male wear a condom instead.
3) Both partners should understand the lasting consequences of unprotected sex.
4) Emergency contraception should be kept on hand.

A birth control visit to Planned Parenthood would provide your partner with the birth control method of her choice, condoms, and emergency contraceptive fees. They charge on a sliding scale and utilize local and national programs to subsidize their services. In my state, low-income women receive family planning services from Planned Parenthood for free. Many county health clinics offer family planning services similar in scope to Planned Parenthood's programs, as do student health clinics (if your partner is a student).

This is information you should know if you're going to have sex. Simple as that.
